1. Overview & Privacy Philosophy
At Gardenly, we believe your home garden data belongs strictly to you. Gardenly is engineered with a privacy-first, offline-first architecture. You do not need to create an account, log in with an email, or share personal identification to use our application.
2. Data Collection and Storage
Local Storage: All garden entries, raised bed configurations, plant logs, harvest weight records, photos, and journal entries are stored locally on your device using encrypted Apple SwiftData storage.
CloudKit Synchronization: If you have iCloud enabled on your Apple device, Gardenly synchronizes your data across your devices using Apple's private CloudKit framework. Your garden data is stored exclusively in your private iCloud database container (iCloud.com.gardenly.gardenOS) accessible only by your Apple ID. We (the developers of Gardenly) have zero access to your private CloudKit data.
3. Analytics and Advertising
We do NOT embed third-party advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or cross-app identifier brokers (such as IDFA tracking). We do not track your location, browsing habits, or personal contact details.
System Diagnostics: If opted in via Apple iOS settings, anonymous crash reports and system diagnostic logs may be collected directly by Apple to help us improve app stability.
4. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
Transactions for Gardenly Premium are processed entirely by Apple Inc. via the App Store. Payment processing, billing, and subscription management are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Gardenly does not store or process credit card details or financial information.
5. Your Rights and Data Deletion
Because your data is stored locally and in your private iCloud container, you have absolute control over your information:
- Exporting & Deleting Data: You can edit or delete individual gardens, plants, and photos at any time directly within the app.
- Complete Removal: Uninstalling the application or clearing your CloudKit app storage permanently removes all local data from your devices and iCloud storage.
